BIOGRAPHY
Ts.Dr. Mogana Darshini, a distinguished lecturer at the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics in the School of Business at Monash University, Malaysia, possesses an unwavering passion for harnessing advanced analytical techniques to solve intricate problems. With a comprehensive skill set encompassing machine learning, deep learning, data mining, statistics, database development and management, web UI/UX, and programming languages such as Python, R, MySQL, HTML, and PHP, she excels in the field of data science.
Dr. Mogana specializes in health informatics, employing machine learning algorithms to uncover valuable insights related to disease prognosis, diagnosis, and treatment benefits. Her profound knowledge and expertise enable her to implement research outcomes and pipelines in healthcare effectively. Her academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics with Distinction from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which she completed with excellence in 2018. Driven by her passion for data science, she embarked on a fast-track PhD program in Data Science, successfully completing her candidature in February 2021. During her doctoral studies, she contributed as a research assistant and guest lecturer at the School of Data Sciences, Perdana University, Kuala Lumpur.
In recognition of her remarkable abilities and commitment to professional development, Dr. Mogana also holds certification as an HRDF (Human Resources Development Fund) trainer. She has conducted training sessions on data science for over 1000 participants, focusing on machine learning, big data analytics, business intelligence, Python, and R programming. Moreover, her tenure as a data scientist at the Centre of Applied Data Science (CADS) has further augmented her expertise, allowing her to explore cutting-edge data science techniques. Recently, Dr. Mogana received “Technology Specialist” accreditation from the Malaysia Board of Technology (MBOT).
